Where are the Conference and Pre-conference being held?
The conference will be held at the University of Helsinki City Centre Campus in various location in the Language Center (Fabianinkatu 26).

How do I register for the Just GLOBE Conference or Pre-conference?
Registration for the conference will open in January 2025. We will add a link here at that time. You can also visit our web site at https://www.justglobeproject.fi and register using the linked e-form on the conference page.
How much does it cost to register for the Just GLOBE Conference?
There is no cost for participants to register for the Just GLOBE Conference. Participants are responsible for their own costs (travel, accommodation, etc.) related to participation in the Just GLOBE Conference.
How do I learn about travel and accommodation options?
In person participants must make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation, as well as cover their own costs related to participation. Are meals included?
The Just GLOBE Conference will provide two coffee breaks for on-site participants. Participants much cover the cost of their own meals (more information about some reasonably priced lunch options in the vicinity of the conference location will be provided closer to the conference).
After completing the registration, will I receive a confirmation of registration?
There will be a screen visible after submitting the e-form that the information related to your registration has been successfully saved. You will not receive a separate e-mail specifically confirming registration, but the event organization will be in touch with logistical information about your conference participation well in advance of the conference. When is the deadline for registration?
- In person – If you are participating in-person, registration closes one week before the event (April 30).
- Online – If you are participating online, you may register up until the day before the conference (May 5th for the pre-conference and May 6th for the conference).
How do I get a visa invitation/letter of acceptance?
If you need a certificate of your acceptance to the conference or a visa invitation letter, please contact the conference organizers at justglobeconference (at) gmail.com after you have registered.
Where can I find more information about the Just GLOBE pre-conference or conference, i.e., agenda, speaker line-up, topics?
Visit www.justglobeproject.fi and look at the conference schedule page. The organizers will also send a version of the schedule to all participants via e-mail before the conference.
How are the event sessions formatted?

How can I get to the event venue from the airport?
Helsinki has excellent public transport. From Helsinki airport you can take the I or P train directly to Helsinki Central Station (the journey takes approximately 30 minutes). You need to buy tickets in advance before you get on a train. There is a ticket stand on the railway platform at the airport, or you can download the HSL app. From the airport to the city center you will need a ticket that covers zones A, B, and C. Currently, the train ticket for these three zones costs 4,10 €.
If you prefer to get a taxi from the airport, you simply follow the signs to the taxi stand, but this is significantly more expensive: a taxi journey from the airport to central Helsinki is approximately 35-50 €.
